The New Year has come and gone, and many Canadians are getting ready to get away from the cold for a couple weeks. If you’re lucky enough to be flying off somewhere warm this February, you’re likely already busy trying to get everything ready. We know you’re in the rush to finish the details, but here are just a couple more things to add to your list.
Get Ready for Your Close Up!
When the holidays begin, the cameras come out, so you’ll want to make sure you’re photo ready and feeling great about the way you look. You’re an amazing person! And you deserve to look as good as you feel in the pictures you’ll cherish for years to come. That’s why we recommend scheduling time at your favourite high end Okotoks salon before you leave. Your trusted stylist will ensure your hair is cut and coloured to your preference, and professional aestheticians can help you with waxing, lash and brow tint, airbrush tans, and more. We’ll have you feeling like a bronzed beauty before you even hit the beach!
Must-Have Products.
Whether you’re at home in Okotoks or sunbathing in Costa Rica, there are a few toiletries you just can’t do without: your deodorant, your favourite lip chap, etc, etc. But when you plan on spending a lot of time outdoors and swimming in a different climate, there are a few extras on the must-have list: sunscreen, chelating shampoo to combat chlorine damage, and humidity resistant styling products.
Because airport security has become such a pain about liquids and gels, some Canadians have started foregoing bringing toiletries at all. They simply wait until they’ve arrived at their destination and purchase the must-haves there. Unfortunately, that’s not as good of an idea as it seems. Here at home, Health Canada works tirelessly to ensure the products that are on our shelves are as safe as possible. But in many other countries, including the US, wellness and beauty products go mostly untested. Ingredients that are banned in Canada and Europe because they’ve been found to be unsafe can be legally used elsewhere. When it comes to something as important as the products you’re using on your body, it pays to be cautious and buy your products in Canada — even if it’s kind of a pain to make sure all your liquid toiletries are in your checked luggage only.
Over the next couple of months many of our clients will be getting on a plane and flying to all kinds of fabulous locations. We wish you all safe and fun travels! And if you need to get in a last haircut before you fly far away, give us a call at (403) 938-7304. We’ll squeeze you in before you depart.
